Awesome news - HBO have given the go-ahead for a pilot episode of George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones.Details are scarce at the minute, though Martin has confirmed that the script is faithful to the book, which fans will be relieved to hear.
While I don't think a TV series will ever be as good as the novels themselves, it could still be excellent if done properly. HBO have got a good track record, so we'll have to wait and see.
