In the meantime, for those of you who have read Rothfuss's debut novel - how about this illustration of Kvothe? I think it's pretty darned good, myself.

I came across this image a few months ago and I, too, thought it was an amazing portrayal of Kvothe. The artist seems to capture the hope/despair in Kvothe's eyes. I'm looking forward to the review.
Pretty cool, although I don't see the despair like you do.
