While I don't write fiction, my experience with editors of scientific journals has been much, much worse. I had one copy editor refuse to publish my article due to some language issues. While I initially fought it, after three months of being in publicaiton limbo finally convinced me to capitulate. I then got a nasty letter from the editor and chief blaming me for inflexibility. It was not a pleasant experience.
Speculative Horizons is a UK-based blog dedicated to discovering the best in speculative fiction. Here you'll find book reviews, author interviews, artwork for upcoming releases, and commentary on all aspects of the genre.
A child of the eighties, I was raised on a steady diet of Ghostbusters, Thundercats and Transformers. I eventually discovered fantasy books via the awesome Fighting Fantasy series, and my love of fantasy led me to create Speculative Horizons, a popular book review blog I ran for three years. In 2010 I joined Orbit to work as an editorial assistant.

Haha, I saw this yesterday too and had to send it to my wife (she's currently an English major and hopes to be an editor at some point). Hilarious!
My wife and I are committed reader and we own two cats. So I had to send this picture now to my wife as a weekend present.
